I would drive the 08 6 speed and 09 PDK. For me, the PDK is the way to go 'cause of all the traffic congestion, and it is a great new technology offered on street cars that will catch on.

had an 06, c2s cab loved it. Sold it to good friend then later got an 07 c4s cab, both cars are fantastic to drive, both bought one year old with low miles, 750 miles on the 06 and 8k on the 08, both times saved many thousands including 100k mile warrenty from Porsche and got all the after market tuning done right at the dealer, Champion motorsport, good people, and yes somewhat pricy. both cars are awsome, the c4s cab is wider, you can tell the difference, the sport exhaust is tubi, ECU upgrade adds that extra pep, the carbon fiber air box which I didn't have on my 06 does make the power noticable. In the 06 I did all the upgrades bit by bit, on the 07 had it all done at once and have never looked back. Porsche make an awsome machine and I drive it daily. It's addictive. just added the sway bars but don't really feel the difference added ceramic exhaust tips, black, and they look great. As I said, addictive, but healthy and fun. good luck finding yours. It's fun to start bit by bit with your first one. do the research and enjoy..

I bought a 2008 C4S 13%-14% below MSRP labor day weekend (which was before 2009s started arriving into dealer lots). The car mkt is distressed right now, I would press harder than 10% off MSRP and get the 08. It's a great deal, you're getting 65%-70% of the first year of depreciation cost for free.

ghsu's right , with the market you should try for more than the 10%
