Carrera S Badge Painting???
Have fun experimenting, I agree that black does not look good on midnight blue.
I'm interested to see how the color-match turns out.
Hey where are you buying your clear markers?? Only $24.95 / set from Sunset Porsche!

I know what you mean with the Black letters on Dark Blue. I have seen a few 996 with this, and it makes them look older then they really are.
I think a 911 in chrome is your best bet. You would need to get the chrome tail pipe extensions to really tie the badge in with the rest of the car.
GL finding them and post some photo's when you are done.

BC plates are a maximum of 6 characters
I don't like personalized plates, however I am waiting to change my plate to any letter combination with the numbers 666!Right now I am being cheesy with the 997 on my plate...just too common for me.
Make sure you don't put too much chrome on your car. I am just starting to like you
I guess chrome can now be added to the list of terms of endearment.
I wouldn't know anything about that, never having had a trailer hitch. But I do have a long garden hose.
Hey- everyone has their thing. I just like to ensure the car is not too boring- if you saw it in person you would not think it was near over the top-

In fact- I thought I would get some new found RESPECT for painting the badge Midnight Blue!
We are only on the planet for so long- hence the Mid-Life Crisis!
I want to just get the S red like in your pic. How could I paint this myself?
I love bumperplugs dont get me wrong, but I can $70 bucks from the one on bumperplugs doing it myself.

I found a guy who is going to match the paint and "shoot" the badge for $40- that's fair- the biggest cost probably is matching the paint...
Haha i guess with the rain in New England here its mod day for me. I just a Guards Red S emblem from Bumperplugs.
I emailed Eric and it took him literally 2 minutes to get back to me that he had one. Great service Eric
.
Cant wait to put it on. Let the mods begin hehe

How much was the S painted Guards Red??? You said $70- does that include the cost of the S badge itself??
Yes its $75 for the S in guards red paint. I thought about doing this myself but when I thought about buying the products spray paint, cleaners etc it would have prob been half the price. For the other half all I have to do now is take mine off clean the area and put this new one on DONE.

Bumper Plugs and Eric are excellent sponsors of this and every other Porsche site that I have been on. I like to support the site sponsors.
Also Eric is a GREAT guy and runs a awesome business. I emailed and was looking for a quick response and within 2 mins literally he let me know he had one in stock. Standup guy and business. +1 Bumperplugs and Eric for quality and Service
