Here's what happened to me today:
After not driving the car for a couple of days I started it up and noticed that it felt weak on start-up, like a failing battery. So, I drove for 20 minutes to charge it up, parked to run an errand, then jumped back in. At this point, it was dead.
I called the Porsche 800 number and they sent someone to give me a jump start.

That worked, so I drove immediately to my local Porsche dealership (Porsche of Arlington) and they took me right in. They said I needed a new alternator AND a new battery!! They did the work right away, under warranty, and I was good to go.

Has this happened to anyone else with a 2 year old car??

if all you got was a jump start and you had a bad altenator, you couldn't have possibly made it to the dealer. but if it's all covered under warranty then no need to question the dealer.

Yeah, you're right.
But the dealer tested the components and said alternator & battery were bad.
