What's wrong with the one you've got? What don't you like about it?

I purchased a XPA (option code) padded leather sport wheel from Sunset and absolutely love it. I hated the plastic feel of the standard sport steering wheel.

We offer GT3 RS wheels in Alcantara, with the top done in carbon with a 12 0"clock ring and the option of colored stitching. Here is a couple we have done for our customers.

There was a thread a while ago with a different aftermarket wheel rim:

White S: I don't know that "cheap fix" and "Porsche steering wheel" go together.

Check out these guys. They sometimes have ads on ebay that look promising. Price is good compared to other options but I am not sure of the quality...anyone here have any experience with them?

Note that thicker steering wheels have a numbing effect...

Hmmmm... This is a wild point.

Where do you get this info? Personal experience? I mean this in no way as confrontational (darn typing... it's hard to tell some times). I just drove my car with a thin wheel and three other cars with thick wheels, HARD... for two days... VERY HARD.

Mine gave me hand cramps. I squeeze it when I think I'm driving within a hair of dying. With a thicker wheel, I felt less aware of near-death experiences.

It's well documented. A thicker rim will filter more steering info. If you search P-car sites you will find posts claiming that the new 997.2 PDK w/ a thicker steering wheel provides less steering feedback, less than the 997.2 6-speed w/ a thinner wheel. The tranny plays no role in steering feedback.

The std 911 wheel is not too thick to cramp anyone's hands. You must be the exception.

hmmm

i dont quite get it. Are you saying a thinner wheel is better feedback? I just like the feel of a thick steering wheel, esp the alcantara of the gt3.

personal preference I guess
