Where can I get some GT2 or GT3 seats?

In the market for some seats upgrades. Saw some guys talking about GT2 and GT3. What's everybody using?

Mostly street driving and hopefully some track time. Ebay replicas are not safe and need something that turns off the airbag light if there are no airbags on the seat.

What's a good place to buy seats that aren't retail prices?

Thanks,

I bought a set of 996 GT3 seats from Suncoast. They work very well in my C2S. I had the local dealer deactivate the side airbag, and everything went well.

Here is the link.

Thanks a lot. I like Suncoast. Everytime I call they are extremely professional. Did the seat tracks line up ok without any modifications? Those look hot. Have two sets of seats for sale (05 Sports and 08 Leather). They will be listed shortly in for sale section. When they are sold, will pick up a pair.

How comfortable are those GT3 compared to stock for highway driving?

Thanks, Ed!

Big_O, PM me if you have any questions. We sell more OEM Porsche bucket seats than anyone in the world...at well below retail . Any of the seats will fit in your car perfectly with no modification. You should be able to sell your seats without any problem (especially the Sport seats).

I had no problem fitting them, you will need to take the seat belt connectors from the Stock Seats, or get new ones. I switched back to the *** Seats for the winter (I wanted heated seats for the cold days). Suncoast is very easy to deal with.

I have driven a number of times to an from the track, and the are very comfortable even over a 200 - 300 mile drive.

Oh, missed your second question. It's tough to say how highway driving will be for everyone. Some people (usually taller drivers) find it more comfortable, some people find it less comfortable because the backs are not adjustable.

On the track, they increase comfort and confidence greatly.

Keep in mind that either of the GT3 seats will require you to have a dealer deactivate your airbag light. The GT2 seats have the thorax airbag built in.

I would say they are tough to sell, Adaptive Sport Seats are a desired up grade.

If you buy the GT3 seats keep the stockers and reinstall them if you ever sell the car.

GT3 Seats will always have a potential buyer.

Hey Ed, how do you like the recline angle on the GT3 seats. Being a bucket with no tilt just wondered how comfortable the molded seat was.

Seat angle is not a problem, it is the right angle for track use. The seat is very comfortable, I was surprised as to how nice it was. What I really like it the way you feel the car in your butt, the stocks seats absorb a lot of the feedback from the car.

I also added the Roll bar and harnesses, these three items made a huge difference on the track, I was keeping up with R8's and F430's on my last day of my season, the car works very well the way I have set it up.
