Black/Dark interior trim---where/how can i get it?

I found this pic somewhere on this site. How can i get the darker colored panels around the screen, heat/ac control, etc? I would prefer this over my regular grey color. Thanks.

You have to remove it and send it to Eric at Bumperplugs to have it specially painted. There are lots of color (sorry, you're from Toronto, colour) choices. The trickiest part is removing it and removing all the buttons etc. Not for the faint of heart apparently. Do a search here, as there was a long thread on this subject a few months ago.

Thanks. Ill look into it, and see if its something i want to do then. Thought it was some oem color/colour option. I would be afraid of it chipping or fading on me.

I doubt that a repainted one (done properly like Bumperplugs) would have any issues re chipping and fading.

Eric?

I did some searching, and they do look great painted(by bumperplugs). Unfortunatly the one i posted above is wrapped in leather i believe, but i would love to get a simular color maybe.

Now, the only thing that is worrying me is taking off those panel pieces, as i have read that it's quite a nightmare. Anyone know if there is a DIY posted on this?

I believe the OP is looking at changing the color of the PCM on his 997.1.
