.. in the first few hours after receiving it than I did on the road Just took delivery of a seal gray 997 today thanks to Mark Digrappa at Stevenson’s Porsche in Denver Colorado. After only 30 miles on the clock, we were testing the limits on the dyno. We will be doing an extensive write up on our website outlining the "evolution of a 997." Our car will go through a major transformation over the next few months involving major performance modifications to the engine and chassis. We will be updating the page often with detailed photos and videos so be sure to check it out.

Very cool, but what about the 997 S? Will any parts be developed for that? A supercharger perhaps? 272 rwhp is kind of dissapointing, this is about as much as an m3.

 

We will have a complete tuning program for the 997s as well. We will begin working on it next month after we get a the 997 program launched.

Interesting. What would you estimate engine hp/torque to be factoring in driveline loss? I'm wondering if 272 rwhp and 232 rwtq numbers mean the 325 hp rating is conservative or right on?

With a 15% loss, the 272 RWHPrwhp would be a little lower FWHP than Porsche claims.

 

I am not sure why, but the 996 NA cars usually had a 20% drive train loss. The 3.4L 996 cars did 250 RWHP which translates to 300 with a 20 % correction factor. Either the cars are not making the stated FWHP or these cars do loose more power through the drive train. Interesting

 

Car looks great. The Dyno looks spot on with a great curve and AFR. That must be a ball to drive
