Silly Key FOB Emblem Question

So my car arrives tomorrow, but I got one of the two keys to the car early (the dealer sent to me the second key to the car that he forgot to put int he glovebox), and it turns out the Porsche emblem on the key fob is missing.

Dealer says the car arrived that way, won't help me out - he's not a Porsche dealer. So my question is two-fold: a) will Porsche fix this under warranty (car is still covered by factory bumper-to-bumper) or b) can I purchase the emblem to fix the spare key?

Thanks in advance.

I have this exact same problem with my spare key and would love to know the answer!

Seems easiest way to find out is call up the dealer, or go visit them in person.

Thanks. Well, I thought the easiest way would be to find out from an enthusiast website.. oh well, I'll make a trip down to Newport at some point...

I understand.. but this seems like a very uncommon issue and it would probably be quicker to phone a dealer than wait days for someone on the website to see the post that happened to have had the same uncommon problem. Just based on my experiences with websites... such specific but uncommon things are hard to get answered.

just buy a replacement for $8 from suncoast and adhere using an adhesive recommended by the dealer (or just call suncoast and ask them what adhesive to use):

Many years ago I faced some sort of key issue . I can't recall what it was but similar enough to yours .

At the time I simply went to the local dealership with the key and they repaired it right on the spot .

Wow. I searched Suncoast for this exact thing and couldn't find it. Will call 'em to confirm it fits and then just order it.

Thanks!

was just going to order one through suncoast myself but $8.32 is the cheapest shipping they have on a tiny little $7.99 part that they could probably ship in an envelope for 42 cents. i might just wait until i go to the dealer next and get one there. (oh and for $33 they will even over night it for you if you are in a rush )
