Alumalook Console
I really like it . I had considered it myself but opted for the shift/brake in aluminum and figured if I did the console it might be too busy . Then I thought about painting it (exterior color) or getting the leather console . The leather was expensive (nice though) and in order to paint the console I'd have to do the seat backs and on ablack/black car its too stark IMO.
I look at yours and it looks so good that I might re consider it . Congrats .
Here's my shifter/brake . Porsche makes two choices and I picked the one which is a real aluminum shifter .

I'd like to have the seat backs Alumalook as well. I bet that would look killer in your car.
The leather looks the richest - but was too much $$$ IMO.
I'm going to stop modding now and wait until things pick up financially.

A caution about the aluminum look. It is a paint treatment and can be easily damaged. I have some aluminum look options in my car and have had problems.
The driver's side armrest had some minor reflective cracking. After repainting, the cracking became worse. Seatbacks are particularly vulnerable with any painted finish, because they can be very easily damaged by passenger use or cargo. Great appearance, but poor durability.
Doing it over, I would go for matching leather instead of aluminum look.

Lig -Atomic80 helped me alot when I chose my shifter and steering wheel with his post #2 on this thread . It explains everything ... https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...questions.html
Michael --the thread I posted to Lig details the difference between the aluminum look and the actual aluminum option choices which Porsche offers.

Thanks 4 heads up
Thanks for the heads up on the damage. It makes sense - and I do toss my golf clubs in the back seat from time to time.
I wonder if anyone does a wrap for interior bits...

I personally DO NOT like the look and have often thought about painting it black.
To go back and do it again I too would have done the full leather package.

Hey Stacy - if you want to swap seatbacks + cash mine are the plain OEM gray.
If it matters I have the A.S.S. seats.
yyralis - I just saw Jason last week. Beautiful car and super nice guy.
And since rep is back - +1 for everybody in the thread!

nice touch! I have painted console and seats back in my old 996 cab and have leather console and painted seat back with TT now. If do golf with both car, you need to be really careful to get in and out the golf bags. It works better with cab and simply top open and drop it off. For leather console, you need to be extra careful than paint. Once you damage it and you can't even touch it up.
I was thinking about doing an alum-a-look console too but is it the lighting in the pic or is there a slight mismatch with the shift boot silver trim? The door handles are in velano silver and wonder if the boot trim is velano too?
