Awesome PDK presentation

I still haven't driven a PDK car . I found this very informative as it gave simple answers to a few of my questions about the three new technologies --i pod , DFI , and PDK. . It does have 2 commecial ad breaks but after the 2nd they take the car onto the track . It ends with an interesting PDK launch . Nice !!!

I drove a PDK Porsche and a GTR recently. Not for me, but it does seem to be a pretty cool technologhy

You have to try it, the shifts are insane in Sports Plus mode and as smooth as a auto box in 'Auto' mode. I also have a '08 M3 with M-DCT and PDK performs much better than the M-DCT. These are my 1st cars without the 3rd pedal and I don't miss it. I'm sure its not for everybody but you should try it for yourself.

Yrralis,
Awesome post. I know you've probably been asked this a million times, but as a TT guy, if you had to start over and get just one Porsche, would you choose an 09 C2S/4S or an 07 TT, assuming both were in the same price range? Thanks

I put 90 miles [overnight test] on a "launch" 911 C2S the other day and it was a BLAST!

I kept it in Sport mode the entire time, but I didn't use the Sport Plus mode.

PDK > Tiptronic S > SMG > Manual

So far I've found 'Sport Mode' is best for my default setting, sport plus is really for when you want max perf. Think I'll use the regular setting just in rain/snow conditions

I have had two 997S cars nd now my Turbo from this current 05 -08 model line . Without a doubt I would pick the 07 Turbo . Beyond the quality of the Gt1 dry sump engine the car offers a massive HP jump . With mods it can transform from being AMG type of luxury power car into an all out monster .

Drive them all but at the end of the day when you drive home in yoir Turbo it will leave you with no doubts.

This is exactly what I have been told . I am convinced that at some point when I face replacing my M3 or Honda I will weigh the PDK Vs the manual . I just hope that this economy has a bounce upward . The recent stock plunge created a buy opportunity and I decided to go long rather than short at these sub 9K dow levels . Let's see the Dow hit 10.5K and then I'll talk more about PDK. If it goes diwn to 6K I still won't sell the Turbo --NEVER!!! But I will have to chill out awhile .
