The Facts:

The 911 has always been the quintessential model for the Porsche enthusiast to own. Replacing the factory components with our insulated carbon airbox and custom air filter, provides the engine increased inlet volume, enhanced flow velocity, and reduced intake temperature; all pivotal to extracting maximum horsepower. The autoclaved carbon fiber construction results in components of unparalleled strength, lightness, and beauty. Installs in under an hour without modification and meets OEM specifications.

FEATURES:
• Increases horsepower and torque
• Improves throttle response and fuel efficiency
• Maintains factory emissions components
• Fits vehicles with manual or Tiptronic transmissions
• Unique thermal barrier composite construction
ensures low inlet temperatures.

PERFORMANCE:
• Power increase: 11-15 hp
• Torque increase: 12-16lb/ft

APPLICATIONS:
• All 1998-2004 996 Non-Turbo Porsche 911 Models
• All 2004-2008 997 Non-Turbo Porsche 911 Models

There's always questions, so let's hear them!

More Details: Uses a K&N cone filter, so its cleaned the same way as all other K&N filters using their cleaner kit.

This Airbox is made by Carbonio!

Yeah, please do show us the money....i.e. independent dynos. 11-15hp my a$$. I hate how these aftermarket guys give false claims. If I'm wrong about this one, sorry in advance.

I'll take the x-51 please.

11 to 15 hp increase by an intake alone is hard to believe. Maybe at that price there's a miniature turbocharger inside the housing that's powered by a solar cell or some kinetic energy device.

Don't really mean to be harsh or pessimistic but . . . . . .

Looks like a closed-box EVO intake in Carbon Fiber. Those horsepower gains are bogus.

EVOMS claims almost identical numbers so as hard as it seems to believe, I think those numbers are pretty accurate.

I haven'y posted pricing because there are no for sale posts in this section of the forum. Please see the for sale section for special pricing.

Evo may claim 11-15BHP but there's never been any evidence to back up the claims from what I've read. All the aftermarket intakes I've seen have smaller air filter capacity than the standard Porsche airbox so why would they flow more air? The X-51 design (twin snorkels) is streets ahead of the aftermarket offerings if you need more airflow.

A possible exception to this is Fabspeed's new offering for 997.5. Simple, elegant and might even work if they can properly close off the filters from hot engine bay air. Like this one a lot - hope they will make it available for 997S Mk1 (together with a bored-out throttle body and plenum to suit).
