Help pls, is this a good deal?
I don't have access to recent Mannheim data. Being offered a 2007 911 C2 with sport seats, sport-chrono, 6-spd, hot seats, Bose, clearbra, sport exhaust and that's about it with 9200 miles, and CPO warranty for $58,900. I think I might be able to get them down another $500 or $1000 but that's about it (I've already haggled them down $3K).
Thank you very much!!!

If you are going to get an 07' which is identical to the 05' why not just find a low miles 05' and save another 15k. Or another option is to find a brand new left over 08' that you can get 15% off MSRP. If you can find a lightly optioned car you can pay in the 60's for a brand new one. Do yourself a favor and do not drive an 09'. Once you do you will never be able to settle for the 997.1. I had an 07' 997 and now an 09' and the 09 is so vastly superior that I would honestly rather have my base Carrea 09' than the 07' turbo. Things like XM radio and ipod matter to me and the touch screen is a joy to use.
Well I didn't think about going all the way to 2005 because I like the idea of having more warranty, but I will check out a 2008. This one happens to be spec'd much like I'd want it anyway tho. However I feel like this price might be over the current market.

This sounds good . I like that its recent with CPO and nice options .
The only negative is that it isn't an "S" and you are close enough in price to push back a year (an 06) to try .
I agree, and if it is optioned the way you would want one, it is worth considering. The additional warranty over an older one is a factor. In this market, I'd suggest being patient, and offer what you are comfortable with, then wait for them to come around.
Newbie, been reading this forum for the past 4 months. Planning to get a 2009 C4 with PDK, sport Chrono, leather sport seats (MSRP $88k). My question is why non-"S" is negative??? 345 hp is more than enough in my daily commute. Only thing I would like to have is the red calipers from the "S".
My second choice would be the C2S with same options (MSRP $93), but I rather have the wide body.
Is there a way to get the red calipers on the C4?

That is a good price esp since its a CPO, the way the market is you might wanna see what you can get away with, just give them an offer, leave your contact info and see if they bite.
Like others have said though, be patient and see if you can find a "s" for a little more, in the long run you will be happier.

Actually, surprisingly the warranty on Porsche certified used cars is better than the new car warranty. The Porsche certified warranty is 6yrs/100k miles so if you get an 05' you are under warranty till 2011 or 100k miles whichever comes first.
My advice, save your money and get the 09'. Even a bare bones 09' I would rather have than a loaded 08'.

Personal opinion is to not be too greedy when it comes to negotiation. I've been shopping for a Boxster for 2 weeks and lost 3 of them along the way. Had them sold right out from under me as I tried to negotiate just another $500 or so. If you like the car, buy it and don't look back. In general, you are getting a fantastic deal given the times and if you can afford it, then...

The few hundred bucks you'll save isn't worth losing a car you really want only to settle for "the next best thing". These are awesome cars-there is nothing not to like.
Ok so I got these guys down another $500 to $58,400 + a fresh change of all fluids. Car is a year old 911 C2, with those options below plus sport shifter, Carrera S wheels, and bi-xenon. I think I'm going to pull the trigger. I know it's not an S, but I've never driven an S so I don't think I'll feel too bad!!! [and I'm not gonna drive an S so I don't get unhappy]
Anyone think I'm making a horrible decision or overpaying??
