GLTRASK1 is infamous around these parts
tires

Any suggestions on rear tires for 06 carrera? I don't particularly care for michelins and pirellis wear much too quickly from past experience. I have the sport 19s and have looked at bridgestones. has anyone replaced with these or toyos. I don't track the car, it's a daily driver so I really don't want to spend $1000 on them.

Michelins Pilot Sport 2 known on these forums as PS2's are the best you can get. The Bridgestones rank right up there as well. You are getting high tire wear most likely from a bad alignment. These cars need an alingnment right after delivery and then at least once a year. If you can get anything over 12k miles on the rears with just normal street driving you will be doing very very good.

If you go to the vendor classified section on this board I believe Alan at wheel enhancements has sets of the bridgstones on sale for $500 for all 4 tires.

Another tire to try is the Yokohama Advan Sport. They are now Porsche OEM and I had a set on my Allroad and really liked them. Never tried them on my 997.
