I would not do one without the other. All things in life need balance. As the speed of these cars increase this become even more important.

Besides, form follows function and all Porsche's are designed in this manner.

Cayenne, I want your car. I'm looking for a 997.1 right now and I'm planning on doing the GT3 front bumper without the wing. Great look IMHO.

Now for the all important question... How much $$$ is the gt3 front bumper? install and paint should run about??? or are they already painted color of the car?

I missed the thread but I am with Mobonic 100 percent . In fact with my Turbo I am so neurotic that I won't place a type 2 wing on a type 1 front. In short I vouch for completeness and uniformity . If it's the Gt3 then I would get the entire aerokit and suspension upgrades spec to Gt3 .

SunCoast sells the conversion kit for $1,295 + shipping. Paint and install cost would depend on your body shop- and how good a negotiator you are. All said, it's probably around $1,700 for the GT3 front bumper.

Wow, I caught this thread way late!

We sell a bunch of these front bumper conversions (both Aerokit and GT3), and I'm pretty confident that most of our customers do not have a matching wing on the back of their cars (at least they didn't when they sent me pictures of the car post-swap). I haven't heard any first hand account of unbalance or wild tailspins without the rear wing at high, but of course, when it comes to Aerodynamics it's usually wise to err on the side of caution. Plus the GT3 rear wing looks awesome.

If anyone has any questions they would like to ask me about the kits, or shipping, or anything please PM, email, or even better, give me a call! I love talking to you guys and sorting out goals/options.

GT3 Front Bumper Conversion - $1295

GT3 RS Front Bumper Conversion - $1495

Aerokit Front Bumper Conversion - $1550

Ohh, and I totally forgot. If you were looking at getting the whole package together and wanted to stay with OEM Porsche products, we have ONE full 997 Aerokit left at the seriously low closeout price. It is brand new, uninstalled and unpainted. You will have to remove (or just disconnect) your headlight washers. Let me know if you have any questions!

Carrera Aerokit (Cars without Headlight Washers) - CLOSEOUT - $3880

Honestly, I like the front only look! Specially for street only cars.
My car came with the front and back already installed from the factory, Option XAA. Been pondering on the idea of putting a stock lid on the back to get the look. Though I must tell you that it is in big bold warning letters on the Porsche instruction of installing it to have both.

Steve,

Aside from added $200, what is the difference between the GT3 and the GT3RS front bumpers ???

Are these take off, bolt on replacements without any modifications ? Fog/Driving light lenses are a direct fit ?

Just got an '05 Black/Black S and this is the first updrade I have to do.......

I think the difference between the gt3 and RS nose is the splitter. The bottom of the RS has an additional lip in the center of the splitter.
