Sell car with or without mods

Thinking about selling my car this summer and curious about how most folks have had luck selling. I have installed Fabspeed exhaust, Evo headers, Evo Air intake, OZ 20" wheels. Is it better to put the car back stock and selling or selling with mods on? I know if I trade it it better to take it all off. I kept all the factory parts, just a matter of spending several hours removing and reinstalling. thanks

I'd say you will recoup better if you sell the mods separately. That is, if you are able to sell all the parts.

I agree since those are such easy bolt-ons.... just return it back to stock and sell the parts to some folks here. You'll get more $ and give someone a good deal that way?

I gotta agree. From what is said, cost of mods is lost on resale or trade-in, so would make sense to pull them off and sell separately. You've got a pretty good potential clientele for used mods right here on this site.

If I were buying a car in a private sale & found out that numerous speed parts had been removed, I wouldn't touch it. What else has it gone through that I don't know about? Wheels are a separate issue and not important. For a trade-in, I might have a different opinion, if it was certified & passed a rigorous scrutiny.

You will want to turn the car back to stock, you can recoup much more from the parts separately than as a package deal.

Most convert the car to stock but you can try to sell it modded . With the parts on the car you's get maybe 25 percent of what you paid (15 percent if you traded it in to a high end used car independent lot) . Sell separately and you'd get at least 50 percent but therres shipping and all the headaches of someone whose is bound to bounce acheck or make it harder.

My advice --find a buyer who loves your car . Then sit down and talk price .

Part of me would like to like to see the next buyer carry on the legacy of loving my car the way I did.

Perhaps offer it both ways. If you find a buyer that wants and is willing to pay a reasonable premium for your mods, then great. If they don't see any value in the mods, you can remove them, lower your price, and sell the mods separately.

I was leaning towards testing the market with the parts on and see what response I get. Most Porsche folks know these basic mods and might want it already completed. Good way to save a lot of time and $$$. If someone doesn't want it, I could remove in less than a day.

What are the stats on your car? Year ? Miles? I'm guessing about 8 grand in mods (not counting tires) .

Its a 06 C2S 19k miles, probably $7-8k in mods. Think original sticker was $99K.
