Will these wheels work

19 x 8.5 , et51
19 x 11.0 , et35

I have a 2007 C4S with turbo wheels. Will teh above wheels work? Can I add spacers to make them work?

I don't really know what et51 and et 35 mean

rears will be 16mm more offset than stock, too much for some folks, OK for others but they should work fine.

What is the stock fittment of a 2007 C4S?

So these fronts are the rears will be like running 15mm spacers, but will work without rubbing?

The stock offsets for a 997C4S are 57mm front (same as narrow body), 50mm rear. So 35mm offsets will be another 15mm (0.6") out from stock wheels, which is pretty aggressive. Spacers won't help because they reduce the offset even more, and move the wheels further out. It also depends on what size rims you have. I have 11.5" rear rims (Carrera Sport), so they already stick out 1/4" (6.3mm) beyond a regular 11" rim.

So 35mm offset wheels MAY work ok with 11" rims, but I'd be nervous about using them if they are 11.5" rims.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Edit: I see the expert, Alan Baylis, has responded. Go by what he says. One correction to Alan's info: some cars have 8" front rims with 57mm offsets and 11" rear rims with 50 or 51 mm offsets (not sure), and others, such as Carrera Sports, have 8.5" front rims with 55mm offsets and 11.5" rear rims with 67mm offset combined with 17mm factory spacer for net 50mm offset.

Alan,

I am also looking at 19 x 8 front, 45 offset and 19 x 11 rear, 36 offset with standard tire sizes. I realize these should fit on a widebody like mine. I also plan to drop the car approx 1.2 inches. will there be rubbing or will the wheels be tucked inside the fenders?

Thank you in advance.

Sev

Hi Alan, thank you for the quick answer. They are Victor wheels, made specificaly for porsche but decently priced. Their site recommends a 19 x 11 offset 55 for the rear of the 997 C4 and C4S but it recommends the 19 x 11 offset 36 for the rear of the 997 turbo. The way I see it, the turbo and C4(s) are all widebodies so they should all be able to take the same fittment.

I dont have TPMS. As for brake clearance, my understanding is that the 36 offset with 19 x 11 will push the wheels further out from the brakes compared to the stock setup of 19 x 11 with 51 offset. What I am worried about more is fender clearance with a 305 tire in the rear once the car is dropped.

My other option would be to run their recommended wheel (offset 55) with a 10-15 mm spacer but why use a spacer when I can go without...

Thank you,
Sev

Yup, but we have really crappy roads here in montreal quebec so a solid wheel is important and I dont want to fork out cash for forged wheels for now.
