My 997S identity crisis

So what happens when you mix a 997s + 997 turbo wheels, & a 997 GT3 body kit.

You get my baby:

Before you say it:

1. Yes Im going to get new wheels (18" for the track).

2. I know "LOWER IT", but I like the ride how it is.

Your car looks great! Mine is pretty much the same except lowered and has silver turbo rims. Only thing that is bad about the lowering is the scraping with the gt3 bumper.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!

Time for a new photo shoot!

Did you end up having WestCoast do the paint work? How is the color matching/finish?

Yes.

West Coast did the work.

It was top notch!

I like it!!! I actually think that the Turbo wheels look better on that setup than on the actual Turbo.

+1. I'm not wild on the tt wheels on the tt, but in this installation, they look great. Yours is really stunning.
And I'll shortly find out about chin scraping. I'm putting the GT3 bumper on my 997S. I've learned, with my yet-lower Ford GT that it's a manageable problem - but constant diligence is the key. And that does take a bit of joy out of the whole thing. But I love the look. The question will be what to do on the back (it's a cab). That wing on yours looks great - but not sure if it would 'work' on a cab.
BTW, where did you get that 911S rear badge? Very cool.

Mobonic will lip scrape too if he lowers . My first notch down was the Techart springs which gave it 3/4 in drop or so . Minor but there .
Now I'm going Pss10's .

It's not uncommon to see me drive my car around the block to find a better entrance . It's nearly impossible not to nick the underbelly of the lip but pull into a parking space with a concrete marker too fast and you can kiss the lip farewell . Is hasn't happened in many years but it does take effort.

I am planning on the new Cargraphic arlift kit for Bilstein damptronics. It wont stop the scraping problem but it will make driving a lowered 997S Aero a little easier.

Im going to go with 18" wheels for the track.

Im pretty sure I'm not going to lower it, but I have said that about a few other mods!

Are those the OEM TT wheels made for widebodies? Offset in rear is ET51? They look pretty good on a narrow body. Fill out the fenders quite well.

I know the feeling.... but I like it!

anything but stock is great IMO.... just one mans opinion but a stock 997 and or 997s is not a great looking car given $ etc... few mods on these cars go a long way. A stock 997 with aero, a gt2 and gt3 or turbo yes looks great but stock 997(s) just needs some help..... both your cars above look great.... I like the all silver TT wheels.

All you need now is a set of Fikse Profil 13s in 18x9 and 18x12...
