trying to put C2S tips on C2...

I didn't realize the tips I bought were of different size then the pipes I have... The C2S tips ID is 2.5 and the C2 tips ID is 2.25.

What can I use as an adapter per say for these tips? I was thinking about getting a piece of sheet metal 1/8th thick and putting it on the inside of the coupler before putting them on to take up the extra space.

What do you think? has anyone done this before?

I think that there is a sleeve that you can buy from the dealer.

I remember taking a set of OEM tips and seeing one.

adapters

their tips come with 2 dif. sizes; the smaller about .125. You'll have to call them at 888-646-4945 and see what they want for a couple of them. I've found Jeremy, if I recall correctly, to be pretty helpful.

I would simply drive to a muffler shop and have them stretch the outlet to 2.49, or whatever, at which point the 2.5 tips should fit. I had some fitment issues on a Fabspeed muffler for my 996, where the OEM tips didn't fit on the outlet of the Fabspeed due to it the Fabspeed being 1/4 inch narrower. Cost about $10 for them to do it.

Just cut a small peice of a 2.5 inch pipe and have it welded to your exhaust, works perfectly

I actually called up Fabspeed and Alex said that he would send me the "crunch rings" FREE!! Not only do they make a great product, but they have great customer service too!! Im very satisfied with my full Fabspeed exhaust and now even more happy that I went with them!!!
