Orbital buffer
I am sure the paint has cured. If it looks perfect, I'd just apply a top quality wax or synthetic sealant.
However, if the dealer prep created minor swirls, I'd use a very light polish, or a "paint cleaner" like Klasse or P21S paint cleanser to remove them, and then apply the wax or synthetic sealant.
A wax on a black car in the summer heat won't last more than a couple of weeks. A synthetic can last for months. You can layer a wax on top of a synthetic (after 24 hours cure time), but you cannot layer a synthetic sealant on top of a wax.

I promise you it's the safest and most effective polisher for the DIYer on the market.
FLEX XC3401 will not burn the paint. We've tried
Now I'm not saying it's impossible, but as with anything, there is an element of risk. Let's just say, you'd really have to try to burn the paint. The pros of the flex are that it has a great deal of torque and it won't bogg down like the PC. It's got a true random orbital pattern. With the PC, as soon as you apply a little pressure, you lose the spinning action and it merely vibrates. The flex is also quieter and has less vibration than the PC.
It's truly money well spent. It's german-made and much better than the PC, made in china or mexico, in build quality.
Hope this helps.
