Installed the Porsche plus child seat
Here are some photos of the Porsche seat. Bought it from Suncoast and love it. My son thinks its the greatest thing of all time. It work for 33-80 lbs. Here are some photos.
arent the rear seats small enough for a 33-80 pound kid or is this extra protection?
Looks good - wish I could do that in my Cab - but the seat backs are tilted forward, and the seat was just way too uncomfortable.
You may want to install some 3Mbumper shield stuff on those nice, unscratched painted seatbacks. Ask me how I know.

I think by law you're supposed to be in a booster seat until 6 years of age and or 60 pounds weight. All of the peds associations and highway safety folks recommend that you stay in an toddler seat until 4 years and 40 lbs. Things are a lot more stringent these days. I have the same seat and my daughter loves it. Without having the booster the seat belt will come up around the neck. The booster puts them in proper position for the SRS and other safety features to work properly. The Porsche seat is built by Britax. I had the dealer throw in the seat when we were working out the numbers. I happened to have bought a Britax marathon for my SUV and it's the same seat... just no cup holders on the Porsche version. I think we paid like 130 for the Britax seat!
But hey, the Porsche version has a little "Porsche" on it. I went on a couple of drives with my 4 1/2 year old this weekend. She loved it. My son just turned 2 and weight about 37 pounds (just a few short of his sister) so the seat will work for him as well.

My toddler seat is in the center of my e46. When she was younger she would love to kick the leather armrest down! I noticed some scuff marks on the rear of the passenger seat after just two drives. Oh well.

You may want to remove the rear seat bottom of your car so that the car seat doesn't damage the leather. It's velcro'd on so that it can easily be lifted off for this purpose. Then the car seat sits on the carpet instead of leather. Not sure if it's the same on all models, but it's this way on mine. Give a tug up and if you here a velcro ripping noise you'll know...

Awesome. My 4 y/o daughter is getting to the point that a 5pt harness is too tight a fit for her in the shoulder area (she's very tall but a light-weight!) and I think this will do the trick. My 1 y/o will slide nicely into her big sis' seat. Win-win, all around!

Love the child seat, now I just need the child!!
