You want to paint the 997TT wheels black? I've not seen that before, so it would certainly be unique. My personal opinion, since you asked, is that they actually look best as is- which is a really nice 2 tone. The grey color inside the spokes and the barrel give the wheel a depth that other 1 tone wheels lack. It's what attracted to me to them in the first place.

Don't get me wrong: I am all for black wheels on the right car. However, I think black wheels should have a polished lip- I like that look best. ATL-PORSCHE has a Carrara White 997S with 20" avus wheels that are black with a polished lip, and they look terrific. Of course, he's made his look even better with a GT3 front bumper and Misha GT2M rear spoiler.

once you paint your wheels black, it doesnt matter what their design is.

black hides wheel detail so you may just as well paint the wheels you have now black to get the look.

The thing is im looking for a gt3 kit also for the car and what i was thinking to save some money was to have my roof painted flat black along with the blade on the gt3 wing and the turbo wheels that came with my car.im picturing it in my head and its looking good so if anybody has a used body kit i might buy it as a missed the one "summo" was selling a couple months back

ok --I'm going to help you out with some pics. I went in my garage and took some pictures. The first is an old pic of my car stock . The next three show the wheels but there is a little dust on them . I took them off a few days after I bought my car to replace . They are clean but have dust on them . It shows a closeup of the dark hue.

Larry,
Thanks for posting. I am not sure that White S cares about the fact that they are 2 tone, with grey in between the spokes and in the barrel. Sounds like he wants to do something totally unique.

I've seen the 997TT wheels done all in chrome, and all in polished hyper silver, and they don't look as good as they do in 2 tone, IMHO.

I was never fond of the Turbo wheels . If he likes black wheels a P43 or an Rs171 are great quality . The cool looks go to the Dymags with carbon . They are hawt!!!! with titanium lugs.

I never really liked those stock wheels. They definitely look more impressive in person versus pics. I was at the local dealer this past weekend and took a look at a set they had sitting over by the service department. I didn't realize they had a grooved pattern. I can imagine that they are not repairable if one rides the curb. Those carbon fiber wheels are stunning.

You're close to Wheel Enhancement (Culver City) - check out their shop/showroom and see if they have some paint option suggestions or maybe even a trade.
