Really need helps..
Really need helps..
Hi, I just joined this forum today.
Now, my ride is bimmer and i like it.
But i always wanted to get a porsche and now i can have one!
This is my first time to buy a porsche and this is not a cheap car.
So, i need ur helps.
I don't want to ruin my decisions.
Problem is that i don't know which one i have to get.
I am so confusing to get between c2s, c4s and targa4s.
Personally, i like the roof of a targa. But seems like little bit expensive.
but if it is really nice car, then it doesn't matter. I know c2s is popular one
and c4s has widebody kit. I know each cars performance and differences
by searching. But for performance, three of them are ok to me because i
am not that racing guy.
I am living in Michigan and there are not many of porsche are here
(because of road conditions.....
)
I will buy a new one. I also have a LR3 so, c2s is also ok to me.
If this topic was alreday discussed, i apologize but i am really confusing
right now. So, can u guys help me?
Thanks for reading and please help me out!

You might want to start off with the Porsche.com web site.
Each model is there and you can view the specifics of each type.
I think I am safe to say (without offending anyone )that the C2S is the most popular model however each model has unique characteristics that really give you very wide range of features. I think if you understand the basics of the C2 you will be able to start seeing the similarities and differences each model offers.......A lot of fun..
..half the fun was shopping....Good Luck

When i started looking at them 3 years ago, I was told if I am planning on driving it in the snow then get a 4S, if not then get a C2S.
I do agree that the best advice is to go out and drive all of them and then you decide.

This thing is .. there is one other car . A used Turbo . It's AWD and leaves no doubts .
My first visit to this forum was spent viewing page after page of thread topics and then reading those that would inform me about the Porsche products. By reading up on threads that compare say C2 and C2S, or C4 vs. C2 you will get a sense of how this community views them.
Generally, most will agree that the only reason to get a C4 is if you will be driving it in the snow or if you just want wider fenders. Know that there will be a performance / steering decrease due to the added weight and how the AWD system works.
I also think most would agree that a great all-around 911 is the C2S. Higher performance levels in a RWD platform.

I currently own a 2008 C4S. My previous Porsche as a 2006 C2S. I think the 4 is more planted in high speed turning with the additional weight that the front differential ads to the front of the car. But... I liked the ability to slide around corners with the rear wheel drive of the 2S. At the end of the day though, I like the look of the 4S better and for street driving (which is what I do with this car) there is not a huge difference in the cars.
We all agree, drive them to find out what you prefer.
Being a former Michigander i do like your call on the Targa 4S. Lovely car with prolonged seasonal adaptability. The hatch is a nice
If you have a high priorty for track days, it seems the consensus is C2S.
I go for an S, since I like the look of 19' wheels and the comforts of PASM.
Hunting and picking one out is part of the fun as well.
Keep us up to date on your choices!

Thanks all of u guys.
After i saw ur opinions i am thinking between c4s and c2s.
I have a Lr3 so, maybe c2s will be alright.
So, i will keep search and look up which one is better.
Anyway thanks for helping.

You will have a lot of fun with a C2S . If it's your first Porsche --it has a pure character -- an ideal balance and power combination which can bring years of enjoyment .
