My remote is dead again!?
The remote keyfab is eating batteries like crazy. Any idea why?

are you sure its not losing its programming? if it sits idle for more than a week, you need to reprogram it as stated in the owners book

I don't think the remote loses its programming after 7 days...the remote standby function just goes to "sleep" and needs to be reactivated by using the key to unlock the door and then pusing button 1 on the key fob.
