I realize they have the correct size, I guess I meant to say that the measurements were funky..I remember they were quite a bit on the large end of the size spectrum as different brands even though rated the same size have different measurements. It's been awhile since I have seen a Hoosier comp tire.

We were..but those sizes you listed aren't going to work...we are trying to give you some alternatives. There really isn't a correct size for the Falkens.

RA1's come in the 245/40/18 and 305/35/18 size. I ran a set on my 07 for most of the 2007 DE season.

The Falken tire you asked about is new and does not have sizing as good as Toyo R88 or RA1.

I hear the Falken is a street tire comparable with the PS2, not at all comparable to the RA1 / R888 / Nitto NT01.

OEM 19s that come on our cars are 25.5" 817 RPM front and 26" 799 RPM rear (2.25% diameter differential between front and rear).

Falken does make 245/40-18 at 25.6" 803 RPM and 315/30-18 25.6" 813 RPM, which is pretty close. (1.25% differential, but in the wrong direction with rear being a larger diameter).

Nitto NT01s are 245/40-18 25.55" 813 RPM and 315/30-18 25.35" 819 RPM.

Toyo R888 has almost too many size options in 18"... Their 335/30-18 is 26" diameter and 799 RPM, which exactly matches OEM. Match that up with 235/40-18 at 25.5" and 814 RPM and you have almost an exact match with OEM (1.9% differential). Go with 245/40-18 for a little more width and you get 25.7" and 808 RPM, a 1.1% difference. 335 feels wider than most would use and the 305/35-18 is 26.3" and 790 RPM (close), while the 315/30-18 is 25.5" and 814 RPM (too small diameter).

So, in R888 would one use 235/305 or 245/305 -- or go all the way up to 235/335 or 245/335? That's a pretty big contact patch difference...

The quickest tires I've had on either my 997S or 997GT3 have been the Toyo RA1 in 245/305. They are 245/40-18 25.6" 812 RPM and 305/35-18 26.3" 790 RPM, a 2.8% differential front vs. rear.

I'm thinking either the RA1 245/305 or the R888 235 or 245 / 305 might be the way to go. Then again, I'd love to know how the 235-245 / 335 works...
