Thanks to everyone on this board for their invaluable advice and tips. Just drove her home from L.A. to Phoenix. She has only 6000 miles and an exhaust system which tingles through the spine. I don't find I ever need to listen to the radio. Previous owner kept meticulous care of it and put on a full Cargraphic GT cup package, Evo intake, H&R springs, X-Ost cat backs with carbon fiber tips, powder coated Rinspeed 20x11 rims riding on 325's on the rears. I know it is not to everyone's taste but I love the wing and finishes the tail in an 'in your face' fashion. The car handles like it is on rails and is miles ahead of anything I have ever onwned hadling wise.

Thanks guys. The original owner is a stand-up guy and put a lot of time in the car. Since driving this car, I haven't thought twice about buying an e92 M3. This wouldn't have happened without all your help. Also got a chance to see Newport beach, where it seems like the recession is a foreign concept. I overheard the parts guy talking to someone telling him they sold 8 Porsches last Wednesday.

Newport Beach is beautiful . California in general has some great scenic driving roads . Awhile back I had even thought about making a car vacation . A few 6speeders have taken road trips .. look here https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...oad-trips.html
