Feedback wanted on '06 C2 S Purchase
Hi, everyone.
This is my first post for what will hopefully become many more.
I am looking for your opinion on pricing for a 2006 C2S, with the below configuration. Did the usual research at Edmunds, KBB, and looked at a plethora of classifieds for similar, and what I found was pricing in the $54k-$58k range, but, sometimes nothing beats the experience from current/previous owners like yourself.
Appreciate your wisdom and input. Thanks!

It has miles but it also has some nice options .
To me this price sounds a bit steep. I saw a loaded 2007 white CPO with 9000miles ASKING $63.5k last month. They were willing to talk to me at under $60k but it was in Houston. It had the turbo wheels to boot and looked sharp.
To me 21k miles is a high for the asking price. Keep looking and welcome to the board.

Here's awhite 997S at similar price with a 11K less miles. http://ray-catena.porschedealer.com/...62838/info.php
I have been noticing that there is a definite price variance based on location such as California, Florida. In Alabama we don't have nearly the porsche dealers than other states and they can dictate a little more secondary to location. My gut is it is similar in Kentucky (looking at your info), but I guess if you are willing to go to a larger area with multiple dealers you will probably get a better deal. ANyway welcome to the 6. These guys are awesome here with tons of info and a great atmosphere.
whatever you find, know that a local car is going to cost you a minimum of 1k less than a long distance car.
when looking for a car, i did find some great deals out of state but when i figured in my time, travel, and geting the car back home, it was a wash with local deals.
what if you go travel to see a car and you dont like. something to keep in mind

Not a CPO car. Help me again what DME scan means?
Thanks. Your S5 looks sweet. Saw my first A5 on the road tonight - very nice ride. You pleased with the S5? I heard it rides well, but a bit heavier and less responsive than E92 M3, but that may be a matter of opinion.
Defenitely run the DME scan as it eases your mind on any potential future warranty issues. I just bought an '07 911S with low miles 4 days ago from a private party in Ca. Porsche people are in general a meticulous crowd and love their cars to death so don't be afraid of buying from a private party. You just have to do your homework a little more in depth, as I'm sure there are also abused CPO cars out there too.
PM me if you have any questions.

If this car is not aCPO then it is way overpriced with those miles . He was probably offered 50K on a trade . Unfortunately for him he competes with CPO cars which offer a factory similar warranty extended . A DME scan can be explained in this thread (post number 17 is real good). https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-over-rev.html
You can get a good deal private party .. but he has to come way down.
