New member & New 09 911 CS Cab!!
Congrats. And though I'm clearly biased, it's a perfect model/config/color combo. I also really admire the Corvette of yours. Really beautiful.
I will say though that, although I too own a car significantly faster than the Porsche, it's the P-car that gives me the most smiles of all. Best road feel, best useable power, and a very practical design for a sports car. Which means you're more likely to be driving it in new and interesting situations.
I had the Porsche out twice today. Once on a 45 minute highway run and another with a stop that allowed me to get out and admire it under the street lights. Yep, I'm sure you're going to enjoy yours.

. I am slowly getting used to the size, it makes it easier sliding through cars on the highway. Will see.
Thanks re the avatar. It was a lucky photo.
It's funny. The Corvette drives bigger and heavier than it is, and the Porsche definitely drives smaller and perhaps lighter than it is. The sit up straight and have excellent lines of sight really contributes to it's nimbleness and smaller perceived size. The lightness, though debatable, is likely the light weight on the front wheels. When cornering hard over bumpy roads, it reminds me of my old Bug sprint kart with a Mac91 powerplant. It just skidded the front wheels around a turn. Combined with reliability and some storage space it really is closest to the 'supercar you can drive everyday'.
I looked hard at a Corvette before choosing the P-car. I admired them as a kid, wanted to buy american and read the reviews. But the OHV sound, it's impact on easy revving, the 'sitting in a bowl' feeling, the numb steering feel and the tacky interior (which they've begun to address) all turned me off. Too bad. Beautiful car and blindingly fast. I still suspect that if they made a Z06 Cab, I'd have one in my driveway.
But enjoy. The 'S' with PDK is far more perfect than mine! I'd really love to swap for an equivalent .2. But the cost coupled with the mods I've made make it prohibitive. And I'm the type when I fall hard for a car, I keep it for a very long time. I've got (well my son owns it now) a 20 year old Saab, I had another for 13 years, etc. My 997S is one of those.

. You can forget about going to costco in that car. For day to day driving I see how the P car is easier. The Vette is more of a king of highway speeds or a great track car. Anyways, thanks for the comments.
Thanks..
