New member & New 09 911 CS Cab!!
Hello.
New member here, and I wanted to introduce myself. Finally signed up. I have been browsing the forum for the last couple of weeks. There is lots of great information.
Just leased a brand new 09 911 CS cab PDK. Got a great deal. MSRP was $115k and got about 10% off sticker. Also Porsche has the special lease rates, (equivalent to 3.5% interest). The residual was about 52% (If I recall) for a 3 year w 12k miles. So if anybody is looking, hopefully this can give you an idea of what's out there at the moment.
I only got about 450 miles. The 2k mile break-in is torture. Not sure how long I can stay below 4k RPM.
This is going to be my slowest car but I do like it a lot. It might not have the power of my modded Z06 or GTR but it has the fun factor. Also the PDK is really nice. The car has a responsive/torque feeling by just playing with the throttle.
This is my first Porsche and I appreciate the quality of the car from the interior and how the motor is tucked in the back.
Having the top down is just pure fun. Makes driving a breeze on a warm day. I was surprised how the wind deflector on the car makes such a big difference on the freeway.
Anyways, I wish I could comment more...but until I can open up the RPM all the way....these are my initial impressions..
Here are some pics taken from my iphone when I got the car.

thinking about rims and maybe a spoiler. Want to save some money so I can get an 2010 or 2011 turbo cab with PDK.Thanks..
Haha.. I don't think I will let the mistake happen again. Almost spent what this car is worth just in mods on the Z06. I said I would never do it again. But,

i would have still liked to hang out on the vetteforum if not for the douschbag mods on that forum. i think you'll like this forum much better. still owned by IB, but much better managed
I hear ya. The vette forum is very addicting but it has its politics. So what did you end up getting after the Z? I love the power/torque of the Z, but I modded it way too much, its only fun now on the track.

got some wheels for it and might do an exhaust for sound. i am looking to move up to a gt3 in the future but for now, i have found my car.
the z was a nice car and mine was modded up nicely (not as much as yours) but it will never feel like a 911. way too numb in the controls.
the 911 is not as gocart feeling as a ferrari but its the next best thing. you will love it
Nice cab . I agree with you on the amazing deflector but I also think the door sills are just the ideal height for the cab . That's also the case with the boxter . Even though I am a coupe guy I do notice these details of the cab .
06 997 S coupe M6.

Thanks.
Thanks. Porsche does a good job with the details.
Congrats. And though I'm clearly biased, it's a perfect model/config/color combo. I also really admire the Corvette of yours. Really beautiful.
I will say though that, although I too own a car significantly faster than the Porsche, it's the P-car that gives me the most smiles of all. Best road feel, best useable power, and a very practical design for a sports car. Which means you're more likely to be driving it in new and interesting situations.
I had the Porsche out twice today. Once on a 45 minute highway run and another with a stop that allowed me to get out and admire it under the street lights. Yep, I'm sure you're going to enjoy yours.
