First post, love this car. Traded a 2013 BMW 650i coupe. Owned at least 10 BMWs, 1st Porsche.

 

did some autocross over the weekend

 

I went from a 996 911 to the 997 and feel the same way. I owned a 535i and two M3's.

I think I'll always have to own a Porsche because of the car, the people and the race heritage. It is simply the best and one of the few genuine sports cars.

I just bought my 997 and my plan is for the next one to be a 997 GT3. My absolute favorite car.

Nice... how did you like the autocross in your 911? Were you able to stretch it's legs at all? I have tracked my car, but not really done much autocross yet. My younger brother keeps bugging me to go and wants me to show off the 911 to his autocross buddies who drive subaru's and fords.... I think the pressure is on for me to beat them

 

Just thought I'd leave this here..it's waiting for the ipd plenum to be installed and a GIAC ECU remap after that.

This is my first year autocrossing. I usually do track days and I use to road race motorcycles for years. It's definitely different. I use to hate on autocross because of all the waiting and short runs. But after doing it, I think it actually helps at getting faster on the track. It's easier to push to the limits on an autocross course then the track because of the lower speeds. It's been teaching me some new things.
