quick question, many thanx for prompt response
I believe they starting using a DVD in 05. It sure looks like you have the nav screen.
Yup, it's the Nav module and the disc. If it doesn't have the module, it can be installed by the dealer.
ive been looking at 09's so much i figured its just the pcm... and u gotta add the module for navi... all this is bonus's!
I believe you can have the screen (PCM 2.1) and not have the Nav module.
sorry again for all questions.. its at porsche authorized seller but their description is super vauge.
The screen, phone and function buttons to not imply that those functions exist. They indicate that they MAY be present, and can be upgraded to support those features. SIM card/phone is an add-on (and not a good one), Nav is an add-on (well worth it IMHO), CD requires a changer in the trunck on the fibre link (I would recommend an aftermarket bluetooth/iPod device like the MoBridge if the changer is not present). So, the screen comes on the base model, and then either at the factory or at the dealer, the additional features are enabled/installed.
Edit...
Actually, on second review, there seem to be a few buttons that are different than my console. THere is no phone button/SIM slot. This is relevant if you want to add a MoBridge bluetooth. It may also be relevant with other aftermarket devices. It may also (but I doubt it) limit other optional add-ons - like nav.
And there are no buttons for heated seats. I'm sure they're not there.

all this screwing around; send the vin # to Aaron at Suncoast (down the road from you) and in a few hours you'll get the complete description of the car and options from Porsche NA - acarlton@sunsetautogroup.com
The Porsche website has a link that tells you just what the CPO is: essentially NO major problems, fresh fluids, and certain minimal specs on wear items such as tires, brake pads, battery, etc. Basically you get a year or two of relatively no major financial worry.
It appears that you are looking at a 4-4 1/2 year old fairly high mileage car that probably stickered for no more than 70k; the dealer will kiss you if you walk in with a check for 31K + tax.

You wanted an 09 and because one bank denied credit at the last minute you quit?
Before I touch upon the idea of a new 09 vs ahigh mileage 05 with modest options it raises many questions .
1) there's other bank lenders
2) you can get an 07 or 08 in between
3) leasing might be worth examining
4) you can wait .
In my opinion --better to have no car than the wrong car . Don't let emotional reasoning push you into the seat of another car when the only thing standing between you and your dream car is time, money and research.

Oh, that sucks. I know it's dissapointing. However, there really are alot of Porsches for sale in the 05-06 model year. Keep looking....4 days isn't that long to look for something you will spend that kind of money on. I was after my car for 2 months. You should try to enjoy the search for your next "perfect" car. It's quite a possition your in...to be willing and able to buy a Porsche...enjoy it!
