What bank pulled out and what was their reasoning? If you want the 09, we can help you get the financing. Just give me a call, lots of options available. Most lenders are a little gun shy right now, but will work with you if you're working with a dealer on the transaction. Be happy to help you. Just give me a call.

porsche financial pulled out, i tried to say i would give larger down (up to 20 just to close deal) and they still said no. i then went thru a specialist in NY that all they do is leases and shop banks and they said no and another gentleman had 800+ and they said no as well... the specialist basically said its getting very hard on leases because banks dont want to take the risk..

im going to pursue an 05/06 and if that fails ill contact you... right now my logic is if i was going to drop 35-40 over 3 years and give the car back.. then dropping 35-40 on an 06 is basically like getting a "free" car... so sounds good to me..

i found a cabrio 06 for 35.. certified... but for some reason the post seems too good to be true... instead of calling # on the cars.com ad im going to call dealer directly tomorrow and see if legit... i didnt really want a cab but at the end of the day 35 is cheap and puts a 997 in my driveway now like i wanted... i can always buy the 09pdk when the 10's come out.. (i was looking at the white launch car) every dealer got one and they are hard to sell so im sure theyll still be sitting around then... and then ill have manual 06 cab and 09 pdk coupe... be nice combo.

Hey, congrtas on being in the great position of seriously researching the 997. I have been enjoying this enviable spot myself for a few months now.

I'm a bit confused about what exactly are you looking for. 06C2S is in many ways diff than a 09C2 +/- C PDK, and cab and coupe look different and offer their own unique pluses and minuses. I do like your expansive spirit of going from leasing one to owning two. That idea just put a big smile on my face.

I can totally understand the idea of being fired up and wanting your P-car now, no, like last year. Just from my experience, it takes a bit of time for the idea of what exactly would make you happy to percolate through your heart, gut and brain. Otherwise, you might have buyer's remorse big time.

I look forward to following your posts and seeing what you finally settle on. Welcome

i figured... pdk would be fun so worth it if a lease cause the good resid...

if not 09/pdk i would go manual because i hate tiptronic with a passion... has no heart.

as far as C2/C2S/Cab

C2 is fine for me.. the S is just overkill BUT if the price is right i would take an S because the options dont bother be for 3-4k more. i prefer a coupe because when i had a vert i never dropped the top during the day and i prefer the rigidity of a coupe.. BUT i did like dropping the top at night and liked that.. so again if the price is right i would pay 3-4k more for a Vert.. i would not however pay 6-8k more for a Vert S... thats just overkill..

as far as C4/C4S i have no desire/need/want for AWD porsche.... so these are knocked out.

my problem now is i keep finding great deals on what i want but they are all black or light silver.. black doesnt work for me in Florida and light silver annoys me.. i had a light silver car once and i hated it.. i prefer, in order, white/gray/blue/that brownish color/maybe green.... bout it..

i prefer in order for interior, blue/black/grey/bright tan... really dont like tan but if its on a dark color car and its that bright yellow'y tan i dont mind it.

if anyone knows of any cars... please PM them to me... im getting more and more impatient by the day... have cash in hand for no hassle deal.

I think you have to sort out the emotions . I understand that Porsche financial pulling out has you upset but you can not have that place you into the wrong car .

I'll be glad to pm you a referral but I am not sure who to even refer you to (new cars , used cars, private high end lot) .

I think you have to decide is your spending limit with or without a loan .
Then you have to decide on the car which falls into the realm of that boundary .

In the meantime - don't sign or buy anything until you are sure that you know what you want.
