Question quick question, many thanx for prompt response

had an 09 all lined up, put deposit and everything and then bank pulled out today on wanting to do the deal... my credits good and everything but i guess the economy has everyone timid....

found an 05 i really like, options i like, almost local deal...

car has 45k miles.. and under factory warranty still, is porsche certified so that means i think if within factory warranty then up to 6 years/100,000 miles of warranty granted?

A: what does porsche certified mean for me on this deal... warranty to 100k but till what year? 8 years from original sale date or X years from when i buy?

B: any known problems with 05's to look for/ask about?

C: average going rate for an 05 with 45k miles, certified, great condition (base carrera, manual, bose, and memory seats)

Alx

thank you guys.. ive been trying to push tons of research into just a few days but going crazy now figured id ask for help.

Sounds pretty lightly optioned, I'd say low $40s.

you should be able to pick up that 05 at less than half the price of the 09 you were looking at.

the 09' was 86,5 msrp and i had them to 71k +TTT

this 05' im going to offer 35k OTD or 32k+TTT

i figured the 09 was a great deal but given depreciation and bank being stupid the 05 will be even better and the only "loss" will be: new smell, pdk, led's,

still a 997.. and certified so warranty for another 2 years or 55k miles whichever come first (i think the 2 years will)

Have the car checked out because a 5k repair can happen pretty easily on these cars.
Seems a little high given the mileage and once a PCAR passes 50k miles, it becomes tougher for you to unload it down the road IMO.

Positive side if all checks out, you have a car you can put miles on and enjoy driving and save alot of cash.

porsche certified w/ warranty so i figured with that they change all fluids and check wear area's to be within spec??

i figured i was already ready to drop 40k in lease payments over 3 years... so this car is "free" then with 5k rebate.lolol.. so ill just keep and not worry about resale since i already considered that money "spent"

porsche certified means like with most other companies where they replace all wear parts not within a certain spec? and change all fluids?

warranty would be till 4/15/11 or 100k if i buy.. so thats good.

Guys correct me if I am wrong but I think 2005 early models had the Intermediate shaft issues but this was very rare.
