Dyno+supercharger=?

Ok guys,
Weather permitting I am going to get my car dyno'd....not for numbers but rather to check that the AF ratio is within' ....

It is a Mustang MD 1750 and the guy said to me EXPECT low numbers because this dyno is not a "braggers" number dyno....true or not?

The car has/is running awesome and not a single problem so far!
Obviously it has a VF engineering supercharger and has Fabspeed headers and mufflers but running stock cats.

That being said, what can I expect for AF ratio's and RWHP???
Any of you supercharged guys have a dyno sheet you can put up here for your car?
What gear is the best gear to do a pull in?
What does a cabriolet weigh(roughly)?

It seems everytime you go to a shop "Their" dyno is the best,LOL!!!!

Thanks guys,

Stacy

Stacy, i wonder have you ever thought of replacing the stock cats with straight pipe? Where are you getting the dyno done? Some where in Abby?

You will probably put down in the 350rwhp range on a Mustang Dyno..I didn't see how many pounds of boost you were running.

NO MORE MODS,LOL!

That is where I was thinking and about what the guy at the shop figures too.
I am running 5.5 pounds of boost(peak),I think.
400 rwhp on his dyno is a tough nut to crack he said.He has had numerous people get ticked off at the results, they come in claiming 500hp and leave with less than 400,LOL!!!

He specifically told me to NOT expect "bragging right" numbers from this dyno and gave me a shop that had a different set-up that could provide those rights!
I am going to do the mustang dyno,I am doing this just to make sure that everything is OK with my install.
Went for a drive tonight and loved the 'pull' of the charger!

Looking forward to the numbers. Who knows, you (and we) may be pleasantly surprised.

Took off work early to go to another shop that has a DynoJet Dynamometer today.I get there pull up on the rollers.......they couldn't strap this thing down and they didn't feel comfortable doing it.
Their dyno was awesome with the fact that it was completely in-ground but with my car as low as it is,left no room to reach under to strap it down.I appreciate the fact that they admitted NOT feeling comfortable doing it,rather than doing the dyno and something going wrong.
We shook hands and I left disappointed.
Hopefully fridays appointment will go better!!

I watched a show the other day and they tested a G-tech to a dyno(no idea what dyno) but it was within' 5 rwhp....is that possible?
Since I own a G-tech it would be alot easier than being a nervous idiot as these guys work on the car,LOL!

I thinking you should be putting down 400RWHP. I never got my SC car dyno'd and regretted it. Hope you are able to soon. I think a/f is normally around 14, but you want it lower on a SC'd car... You never want it going lean...

Best of luck and you should be getting around 450rwhp-ish... AFR's should be in the mid 12s etc...

Stacy, Mustang dyno's are the heartbreaker dyno's. I saw a Shelby GT500 put down 600rwhp on a Dynojet only to be let down when he strapped that thing down on a Mustang dyno to put down only 540rwhp.

LOL...I know this is true.I have been on alot of forums the last few days and everyone says it is lower by 14-15%.

Funny thing....I was talking too jstrat85 here on 6speed and he says his car is "stupid fast".It made me think that I was having a boost problem because my car was quick but not "stupid".

That being said......
I had a boost leak #$@%&^!
I was only making 2.8PSI on the first pull and after a few adjustments,3.8 pounds on the second.
So I am going to book it in with these guys again and we are going to hook-up a smoke machine to try and find the boost leak!
So NO dynos graphs yet.
But I did make 328 RWHP and 244 FT/lbs on a mustang dyno....so dynojet (using the 14% difference between the two dynos) would be around 373 RWHP and 278 FT/lbs at ONLY 3.8 PSI.
My question is.....we know that we are down on boost (2.2 psi),what will it make at 6 psi??!!
Should be strong!

Stay tuned and I will post a video once we get this thing dialed in!

Stacy I would say you will be in the 360rwhp range with full boost. Not much better than what I originally estimated. Also what you have going against you is that the 911 is such a hard car to dyno, especially with a blower. Intake temps are probably going through the roof because of the air being forced into the intake along with lack of cooling from the dyno itself.

Does this shop know how to properly dyno a 911 with fans for each front radiator and a huge fan in the rear?

Are you going back after the leak is fixed?

BTW, if the right input is going into the gtech meter they aren't that far off...don't ever use the mph they give you on the 1/4mile run, they can be off by as much as 5mph to the positive.
