997 C2S help on price

Talking to a dealer about a 2005 C2S coupe.

Here are some details:
Arctic silver w/black interior
Full leather (in good shape, bolsters looking good)
Nav, bose, PSM, short shift
CPO
Paint is smooth...a couple of very small chips. Looks like front bumper is a recent re-spray, but well done. Body looks straight to me...
Relatively high mileage (approx 37K)
Drove very nicely...no issues

Asking 56K...Kelly puts retail at about 50K.

Any thoughts appreciated...thanks!

40's . I would not even discuss an 05 priced in the mod 50's . Guys on this forum are picking up 06 and 07 cars with less miles in that range .

Offer 47K and walk . It's months end .. remind them of that as you say good bye.

I will have to agree with above. I think you can get more care with less miles for that price OR this car for about 6-9K less. From what I have seen, this is a huge buyers market with inventory hardly moving. You can get yourself a great deal.

Kelly blue book is getting more and more irrevalent. The dealer is a good $10k too high. Print up some autotrader and ebay adds and tell them that you don't want to waste your time going back and forth with them. Look for a similar (lower miles) 06 cpo in their lot and offer them low$50's.

Thanks to the board for your input. You guys are a great resource.

I was actually thinking about going in with 48K or walk, so sounds like we are thinking the same way here.

If anyone knows of a good '05 to '07 C2S that meets the following please steer me in it's direction:

Exterior is silver (Artic or GT) or grey (meteor or seal) or midnight blue
Interior is black
Full leather
Stock or largely stock
Condition excellent (9.5 +)
CPO
Miles sub 40K

Nice to have:
Nav, bose, etc...

No deal!

hey man. I just bought a MINT CONDITION, never damaged or painted '05 997C2S coupe with partial leather and bose with 15k miles on it for $52k a month ago from CHampion MOtors Long Island.

PLEASE don't pay those guys that number. You shouldn't walk out of there with that car for a dollar more than $49k. Also, if I were you, I would do a Cars.com or Autotrader search to check private sales and other dealer sales in the region in case prices have re-adjusted, although I doubt it.

Also, PLEASE PLEASE have that car checked out by a body shop. If you KNOW the bumper has been resprayed, you should assume there might be something else that needs to be repaired. I had to have something fixed on my car that the dealership paid for.

Good luck!! It's an awesome car!
