Found a keeper but it's flashed
Narrowed it down to 997S instead of 996TT. Found the right one, but it's been flash tuned... EVO GIAC. Have read extensively through this site and others trying to get a concrete answer if you can reverse this and make it undetectible by Porsche for obvious warranty reasons
but no one seems to be absolutely sure it can be rendered invisible.
What's the latest news on this. hate to re-thread this cause it's been debated to death... just wondering if there's any new news.
Also, just how critical can flash tune make things?
Thanks in advance.

Still under warranty
It's a west coast private seller. Car has 42,000 miles of warranty left and is an 06S.
Synergy, beautiful ride... can you detail the change in the car after the EVO upgrade? Did you do exhaust and intake as well as the tune?

The revised software can be flashed back to a stock file by your local dealer. I hope that helps. I would highly encourage you to keep the EVOMSit flash. Its the most superior software on the market.
Also, here's a thread I started you may find of interest: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-warranty.html
Finally, how good of a deal are you finding out there?
Thanks.

Don't flash it back to stock . The Evomsit flash is awesome . Software warranty paranoia will suck all the fun out this car . Either get a stock car or go for it!!!!!!

Joe, that thread got me rolling on all this and is kind of why I tried to fire this topic back up. (And because of the car I want to buy). Very provocative for me, especially because I have not experienced first hand the after-effect of re-mapping on any 911. I am keenly curious if any owners out there can describe in detail specific performance changes/increases after a re-map?
It is a buyer's market for certain. Lots of pp deals, and dealer bravado will tumble once you show them what is out there, even before bartering, in private party listings.
The MY2006 hi/lo right now... S heavily optioned, flashed/tuned/modded/wheel upgrades, 8k to 10kmiles - $65,000 and down. S moderately equipped, no mods 18k-20kmiles - $51,000. From my research (been at this a year now) these are great deals considering a 2005 S heavily equipped (ceramic brakes, full leather, chrono, adaptive sport seats, carbon interior, bose) was $68-70k Last May.
