384 miles and the "Check Engine" light

Today I started the car and drove off and within 5 minutes the "check engine" warning pop up. Sudden the car felt sluggish and jerky, and if the speed goes pass 40 MPH the "check engine" light start flashing. I pumped gas few days ago and the gas cap is close. Can anyone shed some light about this. It feels like the car can't shift properly and not getting enough fuel.

this is right from the owners manual..."if the check engine light in the instrument panel is flashing, severe catalytic converter damage and power loss will soon occur. Prolonged driving with the check engine light on could cause damage to the emission control system. Have the fault remedied at the nearest authorized Porsche dealer immediately...

sounds like your car is going into "limp" mode and needs attention now

It is definitely going in flatbedded. The engine sounds normal during idle but not when it starts to move.

It's a shame that you faced a snag on a new car just in time for the weekend but it will work out for you . The technicians will fix it .

Check Engine Light

As mentioned in one of the post, Check Engine light relates to the emission system. So, your engine / drivetrain should be ok.

It also comes on if you forget to put the gas cap back on. I dont think that would affect the engine tho.

+1 get the car to the dealer asap, or the light will truly stand for "change engine light"

Even more reason not to take any chances..... flatbed it to the dealer ASAP. Get it covered under warranty.
