Quick one - Fabspeed exhaust models

Was wondering if someone could provide a quick bit of help. I recently purchased a pre-owned set of Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers for my 997S from one of the 6speed members. All good. Perfect transaction and they appear to be in perfect condition.
But I'm a bit confused about the model of the muffler and haven't been able to get a conclusive answer that would be great to have before installation. My Porsche dealer tells me that there are two versons of the Maxflo's. One loud, one not-so-loud. I can't tell which one I ended up with. To be honest, I'd be very hesitant to put a set of 'loud' pipes on the car. But in all of the videos and writeups I've reviewed on Fabspeed, there has been no mention of two versions.
And, if anyone would be willing to offer a qualitative description of the db output of the not-so-loud (if there is such a difference) Fabspeed's, I'd feel a lot better hearing someone's perspective before I go through the install.
Thanks

Cattman can tell you. They were his before they were mine and, then, yours.

I BELIEVE these are the "not so loud" ones... but, again, Cattman will know for sure.

This might be a stupid question, but why not ask Fabspeed, who manufactured them? There is even a link to them on the right hand side of this page.

I have a call in to them, but it's after hours (no pun intended). If I don't get the answer here, I'll certainly follow up as you note. OTOH there is no model designation on the mufflers.

Yes, I have. Numerous times. I have yet to be able to discern two different 997S mufflers. The only potential difference is that they have a complete 'kit' (headers, cats, mufflers) and separately just mufflers. But no commentary as to any differences. Surely it could be that the standalone mufflers, designed to work with the stock/restrictive cats could be more open. But thats different than simply two different mufflers. Am I missing something?

I don't know enough to answer . I can only guess that maybe your dealership is differentiating a later version of the exhaust . I did not have the Fabspeed system on my 997S and it does make sense that their site would show the current offerings .

In short --they have to answer it .

BTW -I liked their video . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksckf0vN3zU

Their car sounds great .

Wow. Thanks for that video link. I'm currently debating back and forth what kind of exhaust I want to put on my new 997.1

I had a 996 with PSE before and I was pretty ok with that level of sound/db noise; been sort of lost between considering 997 PSE vs. what appears to be a ton of other options. I'm not primarily looking for performance boost but a bit more aggressive sound. This fabspeed video sounded nice.

mozhacker -- there are several and I agree that the Fabspeed does sound good . On my last car I heard a few and selected one . This was what I chose --the Tubi/F77

I think your dealer is mistaken. As far as I know there is only 1 version of the MaxFLO mufflers. Maybe they are mistaking Fabspeed with Cargraphic as I know they have traditionally had both loud and quiet versions of their exhausts (not sure about 997 though).

You're spot on. I called up Fabspeed and they informed me that there is really only one model/db level. They DO, via special order, build quieter mufflers, but it is very rare. The fellow I spoke with (incredibly helpful, patient and informative) said he recalls them building three instances of the quiet version - one going to Alex.
So, we'll see how it goes. I've got one stripped nut on the exhaust clamp so I'm going to get a little help to cut it off before I put new clamps on when I swap the mufflers.
Thanks for everyones help.
