Dealer\CPO 2006 Porsche Carrera 4S Coupe price

Found the car I want but it is at the dealer listed at 69,900k! It is the color\spec that I am looking for and it is CPO but the price is way off from the similar spec'd 2006 I have seen.

Am I way off to want this car for $54k?

The ask price of the 3,000 mile 2006 4S I picked up about a month ago was $66.5k, but we got the deal done at 62k. CPO. Very similar car (save the milage) to yours. You can probably talk some off of that price.

They can keep the car. You can get an 08 for that price . You can get a Turbo for $15K more which is one year newer and with less miles .

This looks like a C4S launch car. It sounds like a nice car, I am not aware of the car's value, things are much different in my neck of the woods.

Haha, thanks Larry. Little Grasshopper trying to learn from the Master (go ahead and insert your David Carradine jokes here, rest his soul).

You can't be faulted for "wanting it" at 54K but the dealer probably won't agree-

Your offer is worth a try, who knows maybe they wll take it or maybe you both will meet in the middle someplace where you both could consider it a fair deal. Best of luck in your search.

In the last month I have noticed CPO invnetories cut by at least half at my three local dealers.

Cars in my area (NJ) are starting to move.

I think 54K is out of the question but its doesn't hurt to make the offer.

CPO part of the equation may be the tough part. Just a quick glance on Autotrader shows at least 7 2006 C4S Coupes, in manual, under 15,000 miles with listed prices at $65,000 or under. Based on my shopping experiences over the last three months, a few of these cars depending on the sellers position can be had for $54-$56k. 4 of the 7 are actually listed under $60k already. Also, 4 of the 7 are being sold private party which has always been a preferance for me (I figure the owners of these cars care more about them than a used car lot where I've seen Porsche's sitting out in the elements day after day).

Again, still a buyers market. Might just have to be patient. However, if the right car comes along, got to be ready to jump in.
