It can look a bit strange. It depends on the body color.

X51 consists of headers cats exhaust ecu, anything I'm missing? And in prior models, was it possible to retrofit the X51? Thanks

The X51 on the 997.1 was headers, PSE, ECU upgrade, and a little internal work to the engine (different pistons, etc).

Anything is possible, as long as some one is willing to pay for it, however it would be cheaper to sell yours and buy one with the X51 from he factory.

Here is the description taken from the UK configurator for X51 on gen2.

Engine upgrade to 300 kW (408 bhp). Comprises modified cylinder heads, carbon-fibre air filter casing (upper part), new double resonance intake manifold, sports exhaust system featuring specially designed twin dual-tube tailpipes and modified engine management. Note: also available in conjunction with PDK

In the UK the price is slightly more than X51 was on Gen1 - pretty much in line with the general price rises on gen2 over gen1. I would therefore expect to see the retrofit cost rise a little too.

Well said.

....don't forget to add the dual filter carbon fiber air box and I believe the throttle body/plenum was different too.

Aside from the internals, you could add most of the X51 OEM equipment after the fact for much less than the $15K the stealer marked it up.

+1

When I first saw the heading of this thread, I thought it was going to be a joke about some PepBoys abomination complete with clear taillights, blue headlights, and a coffee can exhaust.
