New MY 2010 clear tail lights
For sure it will be possible to retrofit these new MY10 clear tail light to MY09 model, but will it be a plug and play mod, or will it be necessary to ad new eletronics in order for them to work properly?
New power (kit 408hp) is also available at much lower price than the previous 07 model.

The tail lights can be retrofitted for sure. It is an option in any case and I'm not sure it will be a good choice for all body colors.
The X51 kit is nice but retrofitting it will be expensive. The tradeoff is 385HP stock or 408HP X51. The power boost is irrelevant unless the torque curve is also significantly improved. I see it as icing on the cake.

Porsche really puts the X51 through rigorous testing in all climates and conditions - (as opposed to a dyno or shop) . They tend to underscore the data too -especially when releasing an expensive power upgrade . I think it's worth the dough for those who insist that everything needs to be oem factory .

Cost for the new tail lights are 510 euros. Power kit is +/- 12K euros.
Pictures art available at Porsche configurator, and they look terrific. I donīt like the all white Aston Martin DBS kind if lights, but these new tail from Porsche look better because they have a red reflector portion on it that gives a mucher better look than the ricy AM lights.

In Canada the price was roughly $1000 per HP.
