I have done this 3 times already... first one to replace the door handle trim, then to put carbon fiber pulls and door pockets and third one to replace the sub... I'm an expert now!

 

Heeelp! I too, want to remove the flip pocket/arm rest. I've been able to remove the grab handle (used to shut the door). But that flip pocket parts seems pretty tricky. Has anybody done it? ;o)

 

Ok... gutsy move. THe leather covered flip pocket is glued to the pivoting mechanism. To remove the leather covered piece, it basically needs to be ripped off the plastic piece it's attached to. I did this with a large, long SnapOn screwdriver. Little by little you can hear the German glue giving away. Not for the faint hearted. But it worked. Carbon fiber soon to come.
