Just drove home my new 997.2 S PDK :-)
Excellent news... I have joined the club :-)
This morning I did the 'Autobahn Experience' in Joliet IL... got to go on the track with an Audi TT (fun), but also got to autocross in a Porsche Boxster (even funner)
I was so exhilarated I decided to go to the Porsche dealer a day early -- so I dragged the fiance with me, and long story short, I'm the proud owner of a 2009 911 S w/ PDK.
I paid 28% off original MSRP (car has 7000 miles on it and 3.25 yrs left on warranty, it was an untitled "executive car"), so my inner tightwad is satisfied. Color is Porsche Racing Green and it has Sport Chrono of course... I drove home in manual + Sport and took it up to 70 on the highway in 3rd gear
This pic is terrible but I had to have some proof... the real photo shoot will happen in 7 days, as I'm having the wheels painted a flat black early next week!

I personally love that color and great interior combo. Congrats on the great deal and enjoy! It is so gratifying to see so many people getting into the action and jumping into the 997.2 club...it is a phenomenal car...enjoy!

Tomorrow is last day of fiscal year for porsche (and last day of the month for dealers) so you can get big discounts right now... certainly you can get a new 911S PDK in the low-mid eighties ('lightly optioned' maybe, but with the real important stuff like sport chrono ;-) )
Knowing that, I tried to figure what I should price 7000 miles on the car and .75yrs off the warranty... 10k sounded about right, so that was my logic on my offer to the dealer -- though I gotta admit I was a bit surprised they accepted!
