I don't have PDK on the Porsche, have s-tronic on the audi which is similar...
With NISSAN canning launch control on the GTR. How are the P-cars with launch control handling the launches?

nice to hear no known problems yet. I know the Nissan GTR guys had a lot of problems... The way I see it, if the manfacturer programs the car to launch a certain way and puts it in the manual, then they should cover it... Nissan's handling of this has been real bad...

I must admit -- I've not yet tried it either...

3 - Then press the accelerator down all the way QUICKLY and hold it there till you hear the car beep and you see the words "LAUNCH CONTROL ACTIVE" in the instrument lcd display. The RPMs should be at around 6500.
4 - Release the brake as fast as possible and keep the accelerator floored
5 - Hold on and try not to look like

Procedure is exactly as THEUFOGUY noted above.
One of the car mags noted incorrectly that the PSM button is pushed first to turn it off but this is **WRONG**
Tons of fun. On the C4S the rear wheels spin a bit (which amazed me as it is AWD)
No muss no fuss straight line tracking.
The system has built in protection, if you try multiple launches too close together, it won't let you.
The launch itself is perfection. I never get the impression there is damaging driveline shock. It is a very progressive engagement and not like simply sidestepping the clutch on a manual. No wheel hop.
Never heard anywhere of a Launch Control induced failure.
Not enjoying this feature of your car would be a shame. Analogous to not cornering hard because it might hurt the sway bars

It must be slipping the clutch at those kind of rpms. There will definately be some serious wheel hop if the clutch engages suddenly like in on a 6 speed clutch drop or sidestep...
In any case... a 911 is not a dragster. To each his own.
