I purchased mine late may 2009.
Black on Blck C2S
MSRP $102K
I was given two choices.
Lease price with special lease rate $89K or
Cash price $85K.
It was a great deal then. Any of the vendors (dealers) validate the latest > 20% off sticker deals?

While this can happen it is certainly not the norm.
I agree.. So far under invoice. Prices this low I feel sorry for those trying to sell used 997's right now..

I bought mine on Sept. 15th. MSRP was 101,985 and I bought it for 83,000. I live in NJ and the dealer put it on a flatbed from NY to southern jersey. If it was on their lot I probably could have got a better deal. Dealer also told me PCNA rep said sales are doing much better on east coast then west. As Larry said, these are incredible deals.

That sounds like a terrific deal your friend got at 62K! I'm just about to make an offer on a leftover 09 C2 with a MSRP of 87k and was very curious, would you happen know the approximate MSRP of your friend's car? Thank you.

One question I would have is; granted the trunk money discount is unheard of for Porsche as far as I know, however, now MY 09 is one year old, and as soon as you take possession it takes on a full year of depreciation. That could easilly eat up the trunk money. That makes the MY 2010, assuming you got the same level of discount, not much different down the road 2-4 years. What are your thoughts?

Big assumption. Just try to get the same level of discount on MY10, especially with the cutback in production and the economy showing "green sprouts". I went with an 09 for 20% off.

Unfortunately, they make some of it up if you trade in!!!!!

The 23.5% included the $10K FACTORY DISCOUNT, sorry I should have stated that earlier!!!!!!!
So it was was about 15%+ off MSRP.

Anyone doubting such discounts need only look up new 2009 911s on autotrader.com...several cars are there at dealers between $20k-$24K off sticker...

yes, the discounts seem pretty large for new inventory on the east coast. Many local dealers are willing to go 10 - 20%. Atleast that's what I've seen.

Best I could do on the 87k MSRP C2 was 68k and I walked, in the end the spec didn't seem very well thought out for the price, might look at 2010s when they come in. PorscheFanatic, did your friend ever post the details on their 62k deal?

Depends who you ask.

Some people think the CPO market is strengthening very quickly. I don't see it but I didn't think the market was quite as weak as some here made it out to be.

The problem is all you can go by are asking prices.

People read here and on MSN and other places that the market (for all CPO brands) is heating up and they raise their asking price.

The asking prices mean squat.

No one really knows what people are paying in the end. But people speculate anyway.

Hey..thats what forums are for.

My feeling is drive the hell out of your porsche and enjoy.

FYi,,,the dealers are asking about 66-67K in the Northeast for the white launch C2 with PDK and no SC.

+1, what he said. You, they, can ask whatever you, they, want. It's the "solds" that matter, and the only statistic that matters.
