Couldn't have said it better myself! My grandfather just passed away, and I remember two days after he passed, I was in a total daze, not feeling anything, that tpical numbness you feel when something totally crappy you weren't ready for hits you. Two days later, I picked my 997S up from my friend's house where I had left it before going to the hospital two days earlier to visit. As soon as I got in the driver's seat, turned the key, and heard the devil roar to life, the beautiful ferocious burble of my AfterHours exhaust, it instantly kick-started something inside me. All of a sudden, my adrenaline started running and I felt this little smile crack from the side of my mouth, the first one in a few days...I love that feeling. Now that the memorial is over, I'm looking forward to unwinding with a nice twisty road, some esses, high-speed runs, and beautiful nature scenery to put everything in perspective.
