'09 Carrera S exhaust question
'09 Carrera S exhaust question
Was inpsecting the new ride in the garage today (no driving..rain) and noticed there is a heck of alot of exaust pipes for a rear engine car. The manifold looks pretty free flowing but then lots of pipes before it exits.
I'm sure an upgrade will yield a few ponies and save a good amount of weight. What are the popular systems out there. Also, is hte exhaust different from the previous models ('07-'08) or will those exhaust fit on t he '09's. thanks

The sharkwerks system looks like it uses straight pipes and deletes the central muffler. Is this central muffler on the stock set-up an actual muffler(internal design) or more like a resonator ?
There are numerous posts in the 997 forum about this

Tubi for the 997.2 is different than earlier versions.
It replaces the 2 side mufflers and deletes the center muffler.....sounds great
