Nice way to shave a few pounds, it is just a matter of getting the right one.

Yes it is, one of the least expensive ways to loose some weight!

I think I might need to contact the manufacturer to learn which is the right model...

I use a 17 lb "no-weight" battery. Not CF - just the regular box.

They have a 15lbs, and 21lbs model. No 17lbs...

Maybe you have an older version...

Road Cone is infamous around these parts
Just as a reference the new Lithium battery option on the GT3 RS from Porsche is a $2300 CDN option?!
Wow!

I put the braille in my C2S. Had to modify the bracket to fit.

If I dont drive the car for a couple weeks I have to put the battery tender on her but otherwise it has been fine if I drive a couple times a week.

I'd expect you'd have problems with any battery if you don't drive it for weeks....... I use tenders on all of my cars if I'm not going to drive them for a couple of days...

Machina,

In what way did you have to modify the bracket?

Had to cut the top off the braille bracket and make a new tab to hold it in place. There are some aftermarket brackets that may work right out of the box.

Also, i had to drill 4 holes in the pan of the stock battery tray to secure the bracket properly.

My friend actually gave me the battery and bracket, I probably would not have done all the fabrication to save the 20lbs otherwise. Its a heavy car any way you slice it. My E Production 914 scaled in at 1700lbs with 200hp.
