I have a narrow body 997S and found a set of used wheels that I like. The fronts are 8.5x19 ET48 and the rears are 11x19 ET52. Are they a proper fitment for my car?
Thanks!
Thanks!

check my friend list he is on there....
No, I have the same offsets on my wheels with a 305 tire in the rear lowered with no issues.
the rears are widebody offset and unless you lower your car, its going to look like its sticking out though you wont get any rub.
997 GT3's come with 19x8.5 +53mm offset fronts. this wheel will will protrude 5mm past the gt3 wheel. IMO, its more aggressive than i'd like on a lowered car and unacceptable on a non lowered car.

you can do springs for about 1/2 the cost but i do not recommend it cause you might damage your shocks. do it right the first time.
if you dont want to do CO's, just find a set of wheels with more conservative fitments

Is this a repost question on the Techart rims? They should work. I'm not sure what the front turbo offsets are, but the rears are 51. The front offsets are 56, just checked. The fronts at 48 are very aggressive, but should work. THere is a bit of room on mine. You would probably have a hard time running a 245 tire though.

, i told him to check yours out (ryem3) because i personally saw it, and it look sick
, the set up is really nice, you are running 11's in the rear right? 305's right?
Yep! The stock turbo rims are 19X11 et51 with 305's.
Actually another thought. If you are buying used rims, be sure to see what they look like on another car first. If the seller doesn't have any pics, it's a big problem. You will never know if you can lower the car unless someone else has done it with the exact same rims and exact same rubber. Different tires also have different tread widths. Michelins run narrow, others can run wide.

The front offsets are a bit more aggressive than the turbo wheels. If they are Techarts, I'm sure they'll fit a Porsche, that's the application they were made for!

Thanks - They were the Techarts that are listed on eBay. Seemed like a good deal but I don't want to lower the car so I've decided to pass. For now I'll stick with my stock Carrera Sports that I truly dislike.

The Techarts really don't seem like such hot wheels. Pretty basic, cast wheels. THe turbo rims are awesome, affordable and forged. The new OZ HLTs aren't bad.
REp points for me!
Good luck on the wheel search!
