Nothing safe about driving that fast on a public road. And with a passenger no less.

 

i didnt feel that i "lose" the car,it was very stable.

I would love to try that. I hit 172mph (about 277kph) on a desolate highway myself in my C4S, and gotta tell you the car was planted to the ground. Stayed at that speed for maybe 10sec tops. What did I notice at that speed? I would be hard-pressed to imagine how the car could go much faster than that... didn't seem to have much more juice in the engine, but apparently I've been proven wrong!

Was it unsafe? Probably
Was it pure sex? Absolutely!

 

I am thinking about entering my Turbo in a one mile event. Now of course you had an open road and as much time as needed to reach the speed but I also agree with others that top end on a public road is too dangerous . Even beyond the all the legal issues there's the safety concerns. All it takes is an animal to cross the road or cross wind . Since the road you selected was "desolate" any negative event might have left both of you alone .

That said --I never even considered entering my PDK car . it's very fast but would need more than a mile to get to those levels .

I don't know what the top speed of my Turbo is . I am actually a bit nervous even to find out at a track event but I do realize that I woild also have the choice of slowing down too.

Be safe . You and your wife had the thrill and there is a lot more to enjoy from the C4S than testing the top end .
