What a great offer!

I would try this wheel, I have it and it is nice, not as nice as Larry's wheel, but much better then the one you have.

I had two 997's for a few days, and the one I have now came with a standard wheel, and my first one had the thicker wheel. When the first one came out of the body shop, I immediately felt the difference (and at the time didn't know there were two versions), I called the shop that I deal with and they explained the difference, and then swapped them out for the thicker wheel.

Woozie's offer is extremely kind, and I am going to take him up on it, and test that thicker wheel before making any decisions. Points for Woozie!

As an FYI, my wife's BMW 550i has a thick wheel, and I hate it, but mostly I think because it can't be lowered as much as I like it, or come out as far as I like it- which are not issues on my C2S.

When I get Woozie's wheel mounted I will report back!

It will make the wallet feel used.

I love my Techart but I will keep my stock wheel in my 997S .

Every time I see a pic of the Techart wheel I think "must resist must resist". The stock wheel that came with my car is too thin although I am getting accustomed to it.

The thicker Porsche wheel is not as thick as your BMW Wheel. I find BMW and Audi put very thick wheels in there cars, if you want that thickness, you need to go Techart or custom.

New tires seems like the best way to make the car "feel" new. That's what I have always felt about small sporty cars - just like new strings is like a new guitar

But I like those thick perf'd wheels - Techart is nice too. That would really be a treat upgrade even on a relatively new car.

Vexed, you are seriously going to be in trouble if you ever try one out in person. It feels even better than it looks. I was at CEC and a salesman handed me a demo wheel to see what I thought and... well... see attachment for the one I ordered.
